The Knoll Patient Participation Group

A Patient Group is there as a bridge between the Surgery and their patients. The Practice has about 12,000 patients and sometimes it’s difficult for them to get news out to people. It can also be hard for patients to get their views heard. That’s where the Patient Group comes in. They’re there to help make the Knoll the best surgery it could possibly be and sometimes to act as a critical friend to them. So the Patient Group needs your help to understand where you think improvements can be made. Some of the activities the Group has been involved in include:
  • Getting the Surgery telephone number changed to a geographical number (01928) so that it’s a local call
  • Conducting a survey of what patients feel about the local pharmacies. Over 420 patients completed the form that was distributed at the flu clinics. At Kingsley the Group laid on a coffee morning
  • Networking with other Patient Groups (including Frodsham Medical Practice and Helsby & Elton Practice) and contributing to the County Patient Group
Essentially all the patients are members of the Patient Group. Everyone can contribute in some way. Some people have decided that they want to be part of what we are calling a “Virtual Group”. These patients are more than happy to be at the end of an email, to act as a sounding board for new ideas or to complete surveys from time to time.

If you are interested in becoming part of the “Virtual Group” please go to the surgery website and complete the online sign up form.
For more information on becoming involved in the Patient Group please ring Paul Smith on 01928 736240
