Local History Group

Local History GroupWho are we ? 
We are a very friendly group of people of all ages, who are interested in local history and interesting facts about the past in general.
When do we meet ?
We meet about 10 or 11 times a year. Sometimes we have an captivating talk by an outside visitor, sometimes we go out on external visits.
Where do we meet ?
​The Lewis Carroll Centre, Daresbury Church at 7.45pm.
in the meantime we are enjoying outside visits.

What subjects are we interested in ?
Anything and everything. If someone proposes a subject we try and find someone to talk about it.

History Group coach trip to the National Coal Mining Museum
Including a descent down into the Caphouse mine.

Summer Evening History Group Tour of St Helen’s Church, Witton
Guided tour led by Ken Moth.

~ Thursday September 17th - Phil Pritchard
The Dunham Hill Bomb Store.

~ Thursday October 15th - Diana Leitch
AGM followed by : - ‘Sir John Brunner’

~ Thursday November 19th - Angela Brabin
The Trial of Dr. Tomazin
